EVERYDAY JORDAN

I first moved to Jordan as an Arabic student in 2011 and watched from my host family's living room as leaders were deposed, and later, as the region sank into greater chaos and uncertainty. Altogether, Jordan has been my home for four years, and through the course of my work, I've met artists and musicians, struggling farmers and teachers; I've photographed photographed elections, festivals and protests. Despite struggling with the refugee crisis and shrinking natural and financial resources, Jordan has remained calm - although tension and anxiety are often not far from the surface. This is a chronicle of daily life in turbulent times.
